The ABPI Code governs how pharmaceutical companies interact with healthcare professionals at UK events. Hospitality must be secondary to the purpose of the meeting. Markely designs all HCP event programmes within ABPI Code hospitality guidelines, and our on-site teams are briefed on what they can and cannot do at pharmaceutical exhibition stands. We do not distribute promotional items, and we understand the difference between certified company material and promotional content.
Under the EFPIA Disclosure Code, pharmaceutical companies must publicly report all transfers of value to healthcare professionals, including event hospitality, registration fees, and travel. Markely provides clear itemised cost reporting for all HCP-related event spend, structured to support your compliance and reporting team. We flag any programme element that may require disclosure before it is booked.
Incentive travel programmes for pharmaceutical sales teams are permissible under the ABPI Code provided they reward performance and meet code requirements around value and purpose. Programmes that include HCPs require careful structuring.
